Wallie the Sensei Observed Studio Session with Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre
Compton’s rising star Wallie the Sensei talks about a brag-worthy experience that most rappers can only dream of. He saw three rap giants working together on new music.
In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, Wallie described an epic studio session witnessing hip hop royalty in action – Eminem, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre!
A half a year ago, Wallie scored an invite through a homie connected to Dre and got a front-row seat to the creative process of these legends. The excitement was real:
I just fucking met Eminem, Dr. Dre and Snoop. I went to Dre’s house for a day and got to sit in the session and watch them work. Bro, that was the dopest shit I’ve ever seen.
Eminem, as always, was humble, Wallie recounted:
When I met Em, he was like, “Marshall”. I’m like, bro, I know who you are. You are one of the best rappers ever.
Not only did Wallie witness greatness, but he also gained a deeper appreciation for Dr. Dre’s genius:
Now I understand why they call Dre Dr. Dre. The shit that he do in the studio, he really doctors them songs. He might be the coldest to ever do it.
The session apparently focused on polishing the final tracks for an album, possibly Snoop’s. Wallie observed Dre’s meticulous approach:
They were working on the last couple of songs of an album. I don’t know if it was for Snoop’s album? But Dre was really particular with these bars and shit.
The session wasn’t just about observing greatness. Wallie also got a glimpse into the relentless work ethic that defines legends. He described Dre pushing Snoop to refine bars to perfection:
When [Dr. Dre] got his star, Snoop gave a speech and said Dre still makes him do every line thousand motherfucking times. He was not capping.
The experience even led to a valuable connection. Wallie elaborated:
Me being there led me to meet the dopest producer in the world, Dem Jointz. Bro, he’s cold. Ain’t nothing that dude can’t do.
This studio session was a turning point for Wallie. He witnessed not just legendary talent but the dedication and work ethic that made them legends. Wallie summed it up perfectly:
All of them are legends: Snoop, Em, Dre. I’m so grateful to be on that session, and hopefully, one day, I can be like them.
