The Baltimore Ravens are all set to host the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in the coming weekend. It will be another away game for Patrick Mahomes and company. The NFL world is gearing up for a heated battle between the two.
Ahead of the game against the Chiefs, Lamar Jackson, at the press conference, claimed that he did not like to play against Mahomes. He further added that he does not prefer Mahomes as his opponent.
Here is what Lamar Jackson had to say:
I don’t like competing against him at all. He’s a great quarterback, definitely a Hall of Famer, it’s a no-brainer, he’s definitely a Hall of Famer. I believe it’s just two greats, upcoming greats just going toe to toe, you know, like a heavyweight fight.
Lamar Jackson told the reporters
Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to have the best in the playoffs. The quarterback did everything that he could do to seal the playoff win. Mahomes’ record in the playoffs came in handy. To date, the quarterback has only 3 defeats to his name, with 13 wins.
The Kansas City Chiefs had a difficult time in the regular season. They had a lot of offensive struggles. Throughout the season, they relied on their defense and that took them to the playoffs. The defense has performed well in the playoffs as well.
Lamar Jackson would be under pressure before facing Patrick Mahomes
Ahead of the game, analyst Emmanuel Acho made a prediction. He said that Lamar Jackson would be under pressure while facing Patrick Mahomes and not the other way around.
The analyst had also cited reasons for that. He said that this was the best team Lamar Jackson could have. This is the best Ravens team Jackson has ever been part of. Nonetheless, for Mahomes, it is just the opposite. Hence, it would be Jackson who would face the pressure.

Acho said on SPEAK:
Not only, Lamar you are playing with the best team you have ever been a part of but also you are playing the worst team Patrick Mahomes has ever been a part of. And you are making Patrick Mahomes going against the best team he has faced. How can you lose? If you lose, when you will be going to win?
Emmanuel Acho on SPEAK
Despite winning the MVP once, Jackson has never won the Super Bowl. This is the best time for him to win it.
