Jason and Travis Kelce hilariously beg Taylor Swift’s fans to ‘rig’ Podcast of the Year voting… and then Taylor Swift drops a comment that drove many fans to vote including a top celebrity
Jason and Travis Kelce have put out a hilarious plea for Taylor Swift’s die-hard fans to ‘rig’ the voting after they were nominated for Podcast of the Year at the 2024 iHeart Radio Awards.
The NFL pair’s ‘New Heights’ show has shot to the top of the podcast this year, in part due to their on-field success – but also because of Travis’ extremely high-profile romance with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Her fans – known as Swifties – are notoriously passionate, and the Kelce brothers were quick to call on their influence to help them get over the line in their latest award nomination.
‘We’ve been nominated for Podcast of the Year, Best Sports Podcast, and Best Overall Ensemble at the 2024 iHeart Radio Podcast Awards,’ Jason explained on the latest episode of the show. ‘Shoutout as always to the 92 percenters for continuing to support the show.
‘Right now, you can vote for us daily for Podcast of the Year through February 18, and for one special group of fans that have joined the show this year…’
‘Bills fans?’ Travis joked. ‘Swifties, we’re talking to you right now,’ Jason then shouted, before hilariously adding: ‘Let’s rig this vote please. This is not for me, this is for Travis. Please go and vote for the New Heights show as the Podcast of the Year!’
The brothers were filming the latest edition of their New Heights show from Las Vegas, with Travis – and his Kansas City Chiefs – set to play in the Super Bowl on Sunday night.
Last season, they played against each other in what was commonly nicknamed ‘The Kelce Bowl’ – with Travis’ Chiefs running out winners over Jason’s Eagles.
This season, the Eagles were dumped out of the playoffs in the wildcard round by the Buccaneers, but Jason has still made the trip to Vegas to show support for his brother and watch the big game.
That was also the case at the Chiefs’ last two wins, with Jason going shirtless in Buffalo to support the team, before a slightly more calm display in the AFC Championship win over the Ravens in Baltimore on January 28.
The Chiefs are slight Super Bowl underdogs as they prepare to face the San Francisco 49ers at Allegiant Stadium.
