Jada Pinkett Smith Reveals New Details On Her Blended Family With Will Smith and Ex-Wife Sheree Zampino
Jada Pinket Smith and Will Smith have an unorthodox relationship. That statement might have confused some people ten years ago when the Smiths were America’s perfect couple, and the only thing offputting about them may be the way their kids dressed sometimes. However, the apple does not fall far from the tree, and Jada has used her platform at Red Table Talk to expose the world to the real Will and Jada, who are just as progressive and forward leaving as their children. In their latest reveal, Jada opens up about Will’s relationship with his ex-wife and mother of his eldest son Trey Smith.
Will Smith has opened up over the years about being deeply in love with Jada since before they began dating. He revealed in 2018 that on the night he met his first wife Sheree Zampino on the set of It’s a Different World, he had actually gone to the set to meet Jada Pinkett who he’d had a crush on. Zampino was there to support actor Orlando Jones, who she was dating at the time. Will and Sheree hit it off after being seating together and began a phone friendship that eventually flourished into a romantic one, followed by marriage and their son.
When the marriage crumbled, Will instantly phoned the woman he had always intended to be with, Jada, and they began dating almost immediately. Due to him still legally being married, they dated in private until his divorce was settled. Jada and Sheree immediately got off to a bad start, with a sassy Jada telling Sheree off whenever she called the house. However, Sheree says that Jada always treated Trey well, and over the years, the two women were able to form a bond and sisterhood.
Jada having her own kids made her more understanding and eased a lot of their friction. Sheree defends her friends now, realizing that sometimes she was insensitive but her heart was always in the right place. She recalled a time where Jada tried to discipline Trey and she got upset, because Jada has no children yet and lacked the understanding on how to talk to a child.
The family has a beautiful dynamic now. They celebrate holidays and birthdays together as a unit, and Sheree has even supported Jada by being a guest on Red Table Talk. The women have been honest about their rifts and how they mended things over Sheree’s multiple guest appearance. The relationship is so solid now that Jada recently admitted this week that Sheree and Will even vacationed together without her since Sheree was divorced and single the last few years. Jada notes that she knows this revelation will start rumors, but she doesn’t care. Many people found this weird and filed it under the many unusual things to come out of the Smith tribe, including the Oscar slap and Entanglement.
Sheree, who has joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, was married for a few years after things with Will ended. Her husband was retired NFL star, Terrell Fletcher. The pair married in 2007 and briefly did reality television together, starring in Hollywood Exes. They share a daughter, Jodie Fletcher. Fans always noted that Sheree seemed unhappy during much of her time on the show with her husband. Things would eventually end in 2015.
These days it is rumored that Sheree is dating a much young man. She revealed on RHOBH to co-star and friend Garcelle Beauvais. Describing the man as her “Covid-Bae,” the ladies chatted and giggled about Sheree’s guy, as she admitted to being a bit “stuck” at the moment. She said she “brought him a ball” and sent him to the “park to play” so she’d have time away from him to sort her feelings out. When Garcelle teased Sheree about packing the younger man a snack, Sheree quipped, “I am the snack.”
Outside of her young bae and trips with ex-husband Will Smith, Sheree has been busy building her business empire, which she admitted took a hit during her divorce. She is the founder/CEO of Whoop Ash, a Body Butter brand, as well as the online fashion and accessory boutique Sheree Elizabeth, which are all under the umbrella of Sheree Elizabeth Inc.
