The rapper-turned-sports media personality sat down for an interview with All The Smoke co-hosts Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, where he was asked to share the first thoughts that come to mind when he hears the name “Kanye West.”

“Kanye, he play crazy with who he wanna play crazy with, you know what I’m saying? That n-gga’s crazy when it’s convenient,” he said, prompting laughs from the former NBA duo, with Jackson saying he “agrees wholeheartedly.”

Cam furthered his argument by saying that he himself has never encountered the side of Kanye’s personality that often causes controversy.

“I seen Kanye about a year and a half, two years ago… the n-gga was sane as a muthafucka!” he added, before recalling Kanye asking him if he wants beats and suggesting they hit the town together.

“Two days later he going crazy on the news and all type of shit. Every time I seen Kanye he’s perfectly fine — I’ve never seen the crazy Kanye, personally. Ever.”

Last week, Kanye West made headlines after going on a lengthy and unhinged rant at his Vultures album listening party where he addressed JAY-Z, Drake, Pusha T, Tory Lanez, Travis Scott and others.

In the footage, which was captured on Instagram Live by YesJulz, the Chicago rapper can also be heard making a number of explosive comments about Jewish people, adidas, Balenciaga and more.

West previously came under fire last year for praising Adolf Hitler, wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt and suggesting George Floyd died of a drug overdose.

Cam’ron’s remarks regarding Ye’s mental state echo those of 50 Cent, who last year shared his thoughts on the Yeezy mogul’s antisemitic outbursts.

Appearing on Hot 97, 50 said he “forgives” Kanye for his attacks on “the Jewish media” but warned him he was playing a “dangerous” game by making such controversial statements.

“I think he’s in a dangerous area,” he said. “I forgive him for the things that he said, because I’ve already identified when something’s going on that I don’t understand.”

The G-Unit general went on to say he doesn’t buy the notion that Yeezy is “crazy” and believes he is fully aware of the things coming out of his mouth.

“He’s offering a description of crazy, but when you get in certain areas, they’re not gonna actually be compassionate for what’s going on with him,” he continued. “He’s not crazy where he doesn’t know what he’s saying. He knows exactly what he’s saying.”
